Built for the trades that work in people's homes

Why it matters

Run the business. Let the books keep up on their own.

Most shops keep two systems and spend evenings making them agree. Here there's one record of every job, and the accounting is part of it.

⏱️

No double entry

The invoice your tech sends from the driveway is the same invoice your ledger posts. Nobody retypes it into a second program on Sunday night.

⚖️

Real accounting, not a summary

Every posting is a balanced journal entry against your chart of accounts. Closed periods lock, so last quarter stays the way your accountant left it.

📈

Know where you stand

P&L, balance sheet, receivables and payables are reports you open, not projects you schedule. See revenue by account and by technician.

How it works

How a job hits the books

You don't have to think in debits and credits for this to work. Here's what happens behind the scenes.

Do the work

Estimate, schedule and finish the job the way you already do in MyHomeService360.

Invoice it

Turn the job into an invoice and post it. Revenue and Accounts receivable are recorded.

Get paid

When the customer pays, Cash goes up and receivables come down. Deposits go to a customer-deposit liability until they're earned.

Read the reports

The P&L, balance sheet and aging reports already include it. Close the month when you're ready.

What's inside

Accurate books without a second program

Everything a home-service company needs to keep its own books, in the same app your crew already uses.

Bookkeeping

A general ledger set up for your trade

Start from a chart of accounts recommended for your trade, then adjust it. Invoices, payments and expenses post as balanced entries, and you can always add your own.

  • Trade-aware chart of accounts you can edit
  • Manual journal entries for anything unusual
  • Recurring invoices for maintenance plans and contracts
  • Customer statements and invoice history in one place
  • A books check that flags unbalanced entries, unposted drafts and negative cash

  • Vendor records with activity and year-to-date paid
  • Bills that post to payables, then clear when paid
  • Bank accounts with a running register for each
  • Rules that remember how you categorize a merchant

Reporting

The reports your accountant asks for, ready now

Open a report and it's current, because the ledger is current. Save the ones you check every week as favorites.

  • Profit & loss and balance sheet
  • Trial balance
  • A/R aging and A/P aging
  • Revenue summary, revenue by account and revenue by technician

Tax-season ready

Hand your preparer clean books

Close each period when it's done. Closing entries roll income into retained earnings, and a closed period refuses new entries until you reopen it on purpose.

  • Period close with closing entries, and reopen when you need to
  • 1099 summary for vendors
  • Fixed assets with depreciation schedules (trucks, tools, equipment)
  • Payroll runs posted as balanced journal entries

MyHomeService360 doesn't file taxes. It keeps the records your preparer needs.

FAQ

Accounting questions

Do I still need QuickBooks?

No. MyHomeService360 has its own double-entry general ledger: chart of accounts, journal entries, bills, bank registers, reports and period close. It's meant to be your books, not a sync to someone else's.

What does the accounting cost?

The software is $0 with unlimited users, accounting included. Card payments you collect cost Stripe's fee (2.9% + 30¢) plus our 1% platform fee. Online bill pay is $39 a month per office, charged only in months you use it, plus Stripe's transfer cost at cost.

Can my bookkeeper or accountant log in?

Yes. Users are unlimited, so you can add your bookkeeper as a user at no charge and they work in the same ledger you do.

Does it run payroll?

No. Keep your payroll provider. Your team logs hours in MyHomeService360, you approve them, and payroll runs post to the ledger as balanced journal entries. ADP payroll reports can be imported today; direct connections to payroll providers are coming soon.

Can it connect to my bank?

You can set up your bank accounts, keep a register for each one and use rules to categorize transactions. Automatic bank feeds are coming soon.

Will it help at tax time?

It gives your preparer clean numbers: P&L, balance sheet, trial balance, a 1099 vendor summary, fixed-asset depreciation schedules and closed periods that can't be changed by accident. It doesn't file taxes for you.
