The honest part

Payments you take cost Stripe's fee plus our 1%, and optional bill pay from your accounting is $39 a month per office. That's how we earn.

Before you start

  • Pick a cutover date. The first day of a month or quarter is easiest for your accountant.
  • Talk to your accountant. Ask for a trial balance as of the cutover date. That's what your opening balances come from.
  • Keep your QuickBooks file. Past years stay there for reference and taxes. You don't need to move old transactions.

Step 1: Export from QuickBooks

Export two lists to CSV or Excel: your customer list (name, email, phone, address) and your chart of accounts (account number, name, type). Both are standard exports in QuickBooks Online and Desktop.

Step 2: Import into MyHomeService360

In your dashboard, open the importer and upload each file. It recognizes QuickBooks column names (and ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and Jobber names), maps them automatically, and lets you fix any column before you commit. Customers are de-duplicated by email or phone. For the chart of accounts, account types and debit or credit sides are inferred from the QuickBooks type.

Step 3: Post opening balances

Create one journal entry dated the day before your cutover date, using the trial balance from your accountant: bank balances, receivables, payables, loans and equity. Check that it balances and that the balance sheet report matches.

Step 4: Set up your price book and schedule

Your account starts with a starter price book for your trade (state-priced for HVAC, plumbing and electrical). Adjust prices, add your techs, and start scheduling.

Step 5: Turn on payments and run both for a month

Connect Stripe so customers can pay by card or bank. For a month, enter new work in MyHomeService360 and leave QuickBooks read-only. At month end, compare the reports with your accountant. When they're happy, you're done.

What doesn't move automatically

  • Historical transactions (keep them in QuickBooks).
  • Items and price lists (start from the starter price book and edit, or add them by hand).
  • Payroll history (keep it with your payroll provider; ADP payroll reports can be imported). Payroll — coming soon (optional paid add-on).

What "free" means here, in plain numbers

  • Software: $0 a month. Unlimited users. No contract, no setup fee, no card to sign up.
  • Card payments you collect: Stripe's processing fee (2.9% + 30¢) plus our 1% platform fee.
  • ACH bank payments: Stripe's 0.8% (capped at $5) plus our 1% (capped at $5).
  • Online bill pay to your vendors (optional, from your accounting): $39 a month per office, only in months you pay bills through it, unlimited users, plus Stripe's cost at cost (bank debit 0.8% capped at $5, 0.25% + 25¢ per vendor payout, $2 per active vendor per month).

If you never take a payment through the platform, you never pay us anything. If you do, the fee is the same whether you have one employee or fifty.

“I’ve got a person for you.” Get paid for it.

Your techs see what else a house needs. On the MyHomeService360 network, when your AC tech refers a plumber on the network and the plumbing job sells and gets paid, your company earns a share of the network fee. The business that receives the referral pays nothing for the lead itself, only a network fee after the job is booked and paid. How the referral network works.

Questions people ask

Can I import my QuickBooks data?

Yes, for your customer list and chart of accounts: export them from QuickBooks to CSV or Excel and upload them. Opening balances go in as a journal entry. We don't import full transaction history; keep your QuickBooks file for past years.

Does it sync with QuickBooks?

No, by design. MyHomeService360 has its own double-entry ledger, so your books live in the same place as your jobs and invoices.

Will my accountant be able to work with it?

Your accountant gets standard reports: profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance, aging and a 1099 summary. Ask them to look before you switch.

What does it cost?

The software is $0 a month with unlimited users and no contract. Card payments you collect cost Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ plus our 1% platform fee.
