How the math works

Price = labor rate × (job hours + drive time) + parts cost × (1 + markup) + trip fee. Card fee = 3.9% of the price + 30¢ (Stripe’s 2.9% + 30¢ plus our 1%). ACH fee = 0.8% capped at $5, plus 1% capped at $5. Gross profit = price − parts cost − (tech cost per hour × hours) − card fee.

In MyHomeService360 your price book does this for you: tasks carry their labor time and parts, so every tech quotes the same price.

Questions

How should I price a no-cool diagnostic?

Start from what an hour of a tech really costs you, add the parts at your markup and any trip fee, and check the margin covers your overhead. Then put it in your price book so every tech uses it.
