Starter pool service items

Weekly Pool Service
Weekly visit: water testing and balancing, skim and brush, vacuum as needed, baskets emptied and equipment checked, priced monthly. Chemicals included at normal usage; heavy correction after neglect is additional.
Chemical Balance Visit
One-off test and balance of chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness and stabiliser, with a written reading and what changed. Useful after a storm or a party.
Green Pool Recovery
Quoted after inspection — recovery from an algae bloom depends on severity and can take several visits over a week or more. Includes shock treatment, filtration cycles, brushing and clean-up.
Filter Clean / Cartridge Replacement
Strip, clean and reassemble the filter, or fit new cartridges. Cartridges quoted separately. Recommended at least twice a year, more in heavy use.
Pump Replacement
Remove the failed pump and fit a new one with unions and priming verified. Variable-speed pumps cost more up front and usually pay it back in power; we will quote both.
Heater Repair — Diagnostic
Diagnose a pool heater fault with a written cause and a quoted repair. Credited against the repair if you proceed. Parts availability varies sharply by model and age.
Salt Cell Replacement
Replace a spent salt chlorinator cell and verify output and salinity. Cells are consumable — expect three to five years depending on run time and water chemistry.
Pool Opening / Closing
Seasonal opening or winterising: cover handling, equipment start-up or blow-down and plugging, chemical balance and a full inspection. Priced per visit.
