- Look for sagging, missing or lifted shingles
- Check gutters and downspouts for granules and damage
- Inspect fascia and soffits
On the roof
- Check shingles or tiles for cracks, curling and hail damage
- Inspect flashing at chimneys, walls, skylights and valleys
- Check pipe boots and vent collars
- Inspect ridge and attic ventilation
- Note the material, age, squares and pitch
In the attic
- Look for daylight, stains and wet insulation
- Check for proper ventilation and baffles
- Note any mold or rot
Report
- Photograph every issue

- Send the homeowner the visit report
