  1. Step 1: Put the crew on the job

On Dispatch, click the job and use Techs on this job → + Add tech. Add as many as you need. Each one sees the job in their tech app and can go en route, arrive and clock in on their own.

  2. Step 2: Each tech claims a unit

On site, each tech opens the job, taps 🏠 Home, and taps 👋 I’m on this one on the unit they’re working. The unit then shows 🔧 Payton is on this one to everyone else, so two techs never work the same unit. If someone has to take it, they tap Take it over. A unit that isn’t listed yet: + Add a unit, and the tech who adds it is working it.

  3. Step 3: Read the tag

Tap 📷 Read the tag and photograph the data plate. Make, model, serial, tonnage, refrigerant, voltage, amps and the manufacture date fill in from the label. Anything the tag shows differently from what was on file is highlighted (was …), and anything we couldn’t read is called out so the tech types it in. Nothing is guessed. Check it, then Save unit.

  4. Step 4: Finish the unit

When the unit is done, tap ✓ Done with this unit and claim the next one. On a plan visit the checklist for that unit shows who’s on it. When the job is completed, any unit still open is finished at that moment.

  5. Step 5: It all lands on the customer

Every unit is part of the customer’s Equipment & filters tab, organized by unit, with its data plate photo. Each unit’s history gets a line like Payton serviced this unit on job 261180 (35 min, 12 checklist items).

  6. Step 6: See tech efficiency

Open Field → Tech Efficiency. For each tech: units finished, average minutes per unit (overall and by type of unit), time on units, checklist items and callbacks that came back later. Shared jobs shows how each crew split the units, for example 6 and 4 on a 10-unit job.
