Keep your subs in one list and pay them from your bank to theirs, tied to the job, the estimate line and, if you like, a punch item the homeowner approves first.

Step 1: Add your subs
Open Main → Subs & Payments and go to My subs. Add each sub’s business name, contact, email, phone and trade. Tick W-9 on file once you have it, and Gets a 1099 for the ones you report.
Step 2: Send each sub their setup link
Press Get setup link and text or email it to the sub. They enter their own bank details with Stripe, so you never see their account number. Press Check to see when they’re ready to get paid. It costs them nothing.
Step 3: Connect your bank
Under Bank & pricing, an admin presses Connect your bank once. Most banks connect in a minute. If yours doesn’t, Stripe makes two small deposits for you to confirm.
Step 4: Pay a sub from the project
In Main → Punch Lists, open the project and press 🧾 Pay a sub. Pick the sub, the amount and what it’s for, and the subcontractor line on the estimate it comes out of, so you see budget against paid.
Step 5: Pay when the work is approved
Set Pay when to The homeowner approves a punch item and pick the item. The payment waits until the homeowner approves that item on their punch list, then shows Ready to pay. It never goes out by itself.
Step 6: Review and send
Press Pay… to see the exact total that comes out of your bank, then Send. Your bank is debited first, and the sub is paid once it clears, usually in about 4 business days. The payment lands in the job’s costs as a subcontractor cost.

What does it cost?
It uses bill pay: $39 a month per office, only in months you pay through it, plus the bank processing cost at what it costs us. Every payment shows the total before you send it. Your subs pay nothing.
Can I pay subs from the app today?
You can add your subs, send their setup links and connect your bank now. We’re opening payments account by account and will tell you when yours is on.
Who can send money?
Only an admin. Office staff can add subs and set up payments, but an admin presses Send.
